Selena Covers Her Namesake

During a concert in San Antonio Rodeo on Sunday (February 7), Selena Gomez covered the hit Spanish song "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom", which was originally sung by Selena Quintanilla (better known as just Selena). Selena Gomez is named after the Tejano singer, who was murdered at the age of 23 in March 1995. "Bidi Bom" is one of her most popular songs, but she is perhaps best-known in the United States for the song "Dreaming Of You".

And, as an added bonus, Nick Jonas, Selena's rumored boyfriend, was in the audience! So sweet!
