Give thanks with a grateful heart...

These are the little monkeys I get to be an Auntie to.
They make life fun, and I am so thankful I get to be a part of their lives.

I'm sitting here eating my lunch, reading about starving kids in Africa, how sad.
I'm trying hard not to complain about my dry leftovers considering that some people go days without food. Living in North America, there is an overwhelming amount of wealth. We are bombarded with advertisements trying to convince us that we NEED all of these possessions in order to be fulfilled. I am not trying to hide that I myself will look through a magazine and long for that new pair of boots and that gorgeous new jacket. It's hard to picture a country where a child wears the same dress most of her childhood.
So today, I am trying to be grateful for what I have, and thank God for all of his blessings.
The country I have grown up in, Christian parents who take care of my every need (even at 23), my amazing BF (in picture above) and so much more. So often we think of our house and our clothes and our car as OURS, when really, these are all just blessings that we have been lucky enough to receive.
Take the time to thank God for all that you have.
