Eco-Friendly Fashionista

I have been trying to be as eco-friendly in my lifestyle as I can. A lot of time people feel like they have to sacrifice the things they enjoy in order to do that, especially when it comes to fashion & beauty, but you DON'T!

1) You don't need to give up shaving!

You don't have to become all 'natural' and become a hairy jungle woman. As an alternative to aerosol cans shaving creams I found this EOS evolution of smooth shave cream which uses plastic bottles. And instead of buying cheap 1 use throw away razors, buy the Venus razor and buy the replacements razor heads to significantly reduce the amount of waste.

2) Organic makeup
I tried out this Blush/Bronzer by Physicians Formula from their Organic Wear line. Even the case is decomposable, but it does have a little bit of a funky smell.

3) Donate, Recycle, Reuse
At the beginning of each season I go through my closet and whatever I haven't worn in the past year I will donate to my little cousin, or a local thrift store. I will browse the thrift store every once and a while as well to find some original pieces. Try to mix some old with new pieces and you'll practically have a new wardrobe every season :)
