Bridgit Mendler Debuts New Music Video

Disney continues its plan to make Bridgit Mendler the next teen idol with her new music video for "This Is My Paradise", from Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2.

It's a pretty solid attempt, but she has a long way to go before she's ready to step in Miley's shoes.

Bridgit Mendler "Honored" by Taylor Swift Comparison

When the music video for Bridgit Mendler's Tinker Bell song, "How To Believe", premiered earlier this summer, many noted that the "Good Luck Charlie" star seemed to be channeling some Taylor Swift.

Bridgit commented on the comparisons, saying:
It was so unintentional (laughs). It wasn’t like, ‘Taylor plays guitar, lets play my guitar; she has wavy hair, let’s make mine wavy too’ kind of thing. It’s such a compliment to even be compared to her because she’s been such a success and of course, she’s gorgeous. But she’s not who I’m trying to be musically. I’m still finding my own thing to do in music.
Sounds like an album is in the works to us!

Bridgit Mendler Scores Role in the Next HSM

BURBANK, CA - MAY 15: Actress Bridgit Mendler attends the Disney and ABC Television Group Summer press junket at ABC on May 15, 2010 in Burbank, California. (Photo by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images)

Although we'd rather see her in a High School Musical 4, this sounds fine to us.

Bridgit Mendler will be starring in Lemonade Head, an upcoming Disney Channel musical film based on the book of the same name. The film, which is due out next year, will focus on a group of high schoolers who meet in detention and decide to form a band. Adam Hicks of Disney XD's "Zeke and Luthor" will also be starring in the flick.

We have a hard time believing that this will match the success of High School Musical or even The Cheetah Girls, but we'll still be tuning in!

Bridgit Mendler's New Song

It's now an undeniable tradition: with every release of a new Tinker Bell movie, a Disney Channel starlet will release a song for the DVD. First it was Selena Gomez, then Demi Lovato, and now "Good Luck Charlie"'s Bridgit Mendler.

Check out the new music video for "How To Believe".

Very cute! Certainly better than some other Disney stars.

Quote Of The Day

"I feel like I get some me out of Teddy when I'm having a nerdy moment especially because I'm kind of a nerd myself."

Jason Dolley Talks "Good Luck Charlie"

Walt Disney Studios' D23 Expo - Day 4

Disney Channel's next original series, "Good Luck Charlie", is their first family sitcom that is aimed at the family unit, rather than just children. One of the series' stars, Jason Dolley, is chatting about the series, and we're getting really excited about the premiere!

"When I read the script for the first time, it just had this authentic feel to it and had a Full House kind of feel," the 18-year-old says. "When I read it, I was like, ‘Wow, this is for Disney Channel. This is something that families can sit down together and watch. Everybody would laugh and enjoy it and want to watch the next one.’ I think that’s what is really unique about the show and what is really cool about it."

For those who don't know, "Good Luck Charlie" is about a family readjusting to life after the arrival of a new daughter. It's not always easy to work with children, especially babies. But Jason explains that Mia Talerico, who plays baby Charlie, is "amazing. She is hands down the greatest television baby ever seen or heard of. It’s almost like she reads the script. We’ll get into a scene and whatever is on the script that she is supposed to do, she does it. It’s kind of freaky," he says, laughing. "She’s just adorable and loves everyone on the set. She’ll come down the hallway on set and everyone will stop and say hi to her and she waves. She’s so cute and awesome to work with."

"Good Luck Charlie", which also stars "Wizards"'s Bridgit Mendler, premieres TOMORROW, April 4, at 8:30pm on Disney Channel. Be sure to watch!

"Good Luck Charlie" Premieres April 4

Disney has confirmed that their next sitcom, "Good Luck Charlie", starring Bridgit Mendler and Jason Dolley, will premiere on the Disney Channel on April 4. That's so soon!

The show centers around three sibling who care for their newborn sister. Disney Channel Worldwide President of Entertainment Gary Marsh explained, "What we really want to do is set up a true family sitcom that has kids and family storylines as a way to flex the brand,. For many years we lived in a world of high concept shows — a girl who is a secret pop star, a girl who has psychic abilities — but this is very low concept, traditional sitcom, and the comedy comes from the reality of the characters that we built."

Well said! Finally, we won't have to deal with a show about "an ordinary kid with an extraordinary life!"

DisneyMania 7 is On Its Way!

Well we were pretty sure that Disney had given up on the DisneyMania series, but nope! The seventh installment is set for release on March 2 or March 9 (sources are varying). Here is the track listing:
  1. I Just Can't Wait To Be King - Allstar Weekend (The Lion King)
  2. Trust In Me - Selena Gomez & The Scene (The Jungle Book)
  3. Real Gone - Honor Society (Cars)
  4. If I Never Knew You - Tiffany Thornton (Pocahontas)
  5. Stand Out - Mitchel Musso (A Goofy Movie)
  6. Good Enough - KSM (Real Wild)
  7. Little Wonders - Savannah Outen (Meet The Robinsons)
  8. Under The Sea - Boo Boo Stewart (The Little Mermaid)
  9. When She Loved Me - Bridgit Mendler (Toy Story 2)
  10. Her Voice - Drew Seeley (The Little Mermaid on Broadway)
  11. Bella Note - Ruby Sommer (Lady and the Tramp)
  12. Part Of Your World - Anna Maria Perez de Tagle (The Little Mermaid)
  13. What I've Been Looking For - Alyson Stoner (High School Musical)
  14. The Gift of a Friend - Demi Lovato (Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure)
  15. Hakuna Matata - Debby Ryan (The Lion King)
You can click here for a preview of each song. By the way, what happened to this series? It used to have legitimate artists on it. There would be a few Disney stars, but mostly it would have big-name recording artists. And now it's almost all Disney stars mixed in with a bunch of nobodies. We don't like it!
