More Wedding Details

Below is a link to a scan from the People magazine article about Kaycee Stroh's marriage to Ben Higginson. Monique Coleman, who was in attendance, says "I can't think of a couple that deserves happiness more than them." Aww, how sweet!

Apparently, Kaycee and Ryne Sanborn shared a dance together too. If you don't remember, Martha and Jason go to prom together in the third High School Musical. Bart Johnson and American Idol runner-up David Archuleta also attended the wedding.

Congratulations to Kaycee and Ben! Click here to see the scan!

Lucas Grabeel's Food Fight

Have you seen Lucas Grabeel's DVD movied The Adventures of Food Boy? We haven't. But we found this short introduction from the film in which Lucas gets covered in food. He jokingly says, "You see, when food starts being thrown out, people get hurt and feelings get smashed and it’s not very funny at all."

In the film, Lucas stars as Ezra, a boy who has the power to make food appear in his hands... That's kind of why we chose not to see it. The film also stars Ryne Sanborn.

Our Top 10 HSM Actors

There are ten main High School Musical actors. We've decided to rank them based on how we like them. The lower the number, the more we like them (i.e. we hate number 10 but love number 1).
  1. Ashley Tisdale. We think we've made it pretty clear that she's our favorite. We can't give any reasons why, she just is!
  2. Zac Efron. He is just so hot we cannot control ourselves. Plus he seems pretty humble.
  3. Lucas Grabeel. So talented, yet so underestimated.
  4. Monique Coleman. If there's anybody who's been humbled by the success of High School Musical, it's her.
  5. Kaycee Stroh. We used to hate her, but now we love her!
  6. Ryne Sanborn. He's got a certain charm that we find adorable.
  7. Chris Warren, Jr. He seems humble, but we see him as the person who secretly thinks he's all that and a bag of chips.
  8. Vanessa Hudgens. She's pretty and talented, but really whiney. Plus, she stole Zac!
  9. Corbin Bleu. He has got to be one of the most annoying people. Maybe if he didn't put his hair in a ponytail, we'd feel differently.
  10. Olesya Rulin. Sure, she may be the quiet and sweet Kelsi in the movies, but reports from our insiders say that she's the biggest diva. She even wears her sunglasses indoors. Psh...
Well, we're sorry if we've offended anyone with our comments, but just remember it's out opinion. We hope you're inspired to think about how YOU would rank these stars. Email us at disneyhsmblog@yahoo.com because we'd love to read your list!

Why So Blue? Plus Filming Details!

Filming for High School Musical 3: Senior Year began on Saturday, as we all know. And we have some details for you! But before that, let's talk about Ashley Tisdale.

There are reports that Ashley has been down in the dumps lately. She had a police escort with her at all times and the only person she would talk to was Vanessa Hudgens. There's no word on why she's so sad, but we hope it doesn't affect her performance and that she cheers up soon! Plus, it's a good thing Vanessa was even there to hang out with Ashley - she wasn't even scheduled to shoot that day.

Now for some other notes on filming and such.
  • Zac Efron, Chris Warren Jr., Ryne Sanborn, and Corbin Bleu have filmed some classroom scenes.
  • Some of the last scenes have been shot (note: they don't shoot the scenes in order; "You Are the Music in Me (Sharpay Version)" was the last scene filmed in the second film).
  • No outside scenes have been filmed yet.
  • Ashley Tisdale has been seen wearing a pink cowgirl outfit (what scene will that be for?!?) and Olesya Rulin had been wearing sunglasses indoors all day. Apparently, the extras made fun of her.
  • Director Kenny Ortega was put in charge of Ashley's dog.
  • All actors have at least three security officers, a fan was escorted off the site, and several extras were asked to leave because of cell phone use.

Ryne Sanborn's Word on HSM3

"We are going to cover everything that goes along with senior year," High School Musical 3: Senior Year star Ryne Sanborn repeats the words said by his better-known costars for months.

Currently in Utah, Ryne did offer some interesting bits of information. Sharpay has a new crush and Ryne's character Jason has a new girlfriend. (Wait! Wasn't Jason already pretty much matched-up with Olesya Rulin's character Kelsi? Hmm... maybe it was never official and she's his new girlfriend!).

"Everything is much more intense this time around," Jason continues. "The dance numbers are longer and the sets are bigger!"

And, on a semi-interesting note, newcomers Matt Prokop, Jemma McKenzie Brown, and Justin Martin were welcomed by the reigning "seniors." Too bad. We were hoping for juicy backstage cat fight scoops!

Corbin Bleu and Ryne Sanborn on Proms

Corbin Bleu and Ryne Sanborn dish out prom advice. Who better than two stars of High School Musical 3: Senior Year, which will feature prom. You can see it in the new prom issue of Teen Magazine but here are their quotes.

You’re Worried About Attending Another School’s Prom…
“Try not to do anything weird at the very beginning of the night. If you go crazy right off the bat, people can be taken off guard and they don’t know how to react. Let them get to know you first. Be social, keep it low-key so they’re like, ‘Okay, you’re cool.’ Then you can start to let loose. Also, don’t be the first person to go nuts on the dance floor. You’ve got to find a happy medium between low-key and supersocial.” - Corbin Bleu

You’re Date Doesn’t Dance…
“Just drag him out there. A couple times I didn’t want to dance and the girl dragged me out there. I ended up having fun. If that doesn’t work, go out there with your friends and maybe he’ll join you. At most of my school dances, I danced a little bit here and there with a group of friends, but after High School Musical, I got a lot more confidence and I actually started the dance circle at my junior prom.” - Ryne Sanborn
