Well now that spring EVERYTHING is popping up on all our favorite sites, I couldn't help but scream outloud when I saw these Chloe flats the other day on Barneys.com. I instantly texted my sister and said, "Pointe shoe ballet flats on Barneys. NEED now." Yes, I never thought I would actually be wanting to wear pointe shoes as real shoes, as I have boxes and boxes full of dead and beat up ones from my ballerina years in my closet... Oh and did I mention they are horribly excruciating after dancing on your toes for hours on end? Well, these ARE different... kind of. Hahahaha. No, they are stunning and I need them on my feet now. How sweet would they look with a little sundress or a cute tee and shorts? So different from the typical Lanvin or Repetto ballet flat. Ahhh well, I guess my wish list for the upcoming season has officially begun. XO, Liza

Shoe Designer Spotlight: Rachel Antonoff X Bass
Ahhh! Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful New Years Eve... mine was great. I stayed in with Angel and my cat, ate good food, drank a ton of champagne, and passed out super early. Hahahaha! I am a nerd, but that is definitely my idea of a perfect night. Aaaanyways, what better then to start the new year off with a brand new shoe collaboration by one of my fave designers, Rachel Antonoff. Teaming up with Bass, the loafer and oxford experts, Rachel designed a whole line of shoes that honestly will make your heart melt. I am coveting at LEAST five of the pairs, as well as that white dress Tennessee Thomas is wearing in the first picture. I actually am loving wearing my furs and heavy coats this winter, but can it PLEASE be spring now so I can slip these babies on everyday? XO, Liza
I know, I know.... these are insanely cute. The kitten isn't too bad either. ;)
Ah! The little bows kill me!
Absolutely darling.
SO many choices!

Item of the Day: Osborn Shoes
So how chic and refreshing are these little babies? Aaron Osborn launched his shoe line in 2009 out of Guatemala after meeting an out of work cobbler while doing charitable work there. He was inspired and decided to make a collection of handcrafted shoes outside of the city in the volcanic mountains (sounds awesome... I want to go work there?!?!) The company consists of 20 shoe makers and each pair of shoes are signed by whoever made them. That makes for a pretty personal shoe! I live for it! These shoes are beyond adorable and the patterns are endlessly darling. Check out my top picks below and to see more go to OsbornDesign. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Item of the Day: Balenciaga Ankle Wedges
I was in the Barney's shoe department about a week ago with my mom and when I spotted these insane Balenciaga ankle wedges, let me tell you.... I could NOT stop thinking about them alllll day. They look amazing in the picture, so you can only imagine what it's like to hold them. Hahahaha I sound like a shoe psycho, but really... these shoes are unreal. Not only do I love the wooden wedge, but the little buckle on the ankle? To die for. Before I checked the bottom of the shoe for the price, I must say I was scared... they had to be at LEAST $1200. Well, they are $995. Expensive, but not over the top like a pair of Alaias or Givenchys. So I was somewhat relieved. Ha! I do have a very hard time saving my money though, as the minute I see something I like, I buy it. On the other hand, these booties are really worth saving up every single penny. XO, Liza

Top Picks from Spring/Summer 2010 Shoes
I felt like we were overdue for a nice big shoe post. Since the shoes for S/S 10' were out of control I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.E, I wanted to make a little collection of my favorites. Ah, what I wouldn't give to have all of these perfectly organized in beautiful boxes in my closet right now. What would it take? I'm off to Nashville tomorrow for the weekend to see my Daddy and all of my closest girlfriends. I am very excited to get out of LA for a minute and enjoy the sound of some southern crickets and humidity!! ;)

Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte. The brown pumps on the left are my absolute favorite from this entire season. Ohhhhhh it hurts me.

Alexander McQueen. The pumps on the bottom left are so amazing.

Jil Sander. Raf Simons hit a home run with these. The steel heel is gorgeous and so innovative.

Gareth Pugh. I especially adore the boots on the left. They are kind of gothic, but the satin ribbon detail make them a little girlish. Love them.

Jean Paul Gaultier. John jokes that I will never go hiking with him and I always excuse it with, "Well, I don't own hiking boots?!!" Maybe these would work. Hahahaha. Seriously though... these are incredible. The lacing on these bad boys are stunning.

Junya Watanabe. I'll take both please. Classic and timeless.

Proenza Schouler. Jessica Alba was wearing a pair at the Valentines Day movie premiere and they really are unbelievable in person... and she was too for that matter! Both were stunningly gorgeous!

Rick Owens. He never fails.

Valentino created by hat designer, Philip Treacy. These are works of art. A moment of silence please.

Yohji Yamamoto. Witchy and kind of cowboyish/spurs at the same time. I'm into it.

Sneakers by Social Class: Golden Goose for the Rich, Ash for the Middle Class, and Frye for the Broke
These GOLDEN GOOSE sneakers have been killing me for the past three years... literally. I always cry when I see them in Madison on Robertson. They are the best dirty grunge high tops around for those casual tomboy days... also fab to pair with a frilly dress. Why do I not have several pairs you ask? Maybe because they are $630 DOLLARS!! ASH makes a great sneaker and I have a few of those. I bought the studded black low tops four years ago from American Rag and I live in them. They are darling with buckles and insanely comfortable and range from $140-$200... and FRYE has just now come out with a cute little high top that has less embellishment and could be a good everyday go to, starting at $100-$120. So there, one for everyone. Check em out.

Golden Goose

Ugh, the zipper is so killer.

Dirty Zebras. I live for these.

Aghhh it pains me! Who knew dirty old looking sneakers could be so cute?

ASH. These are the ones I have. Adore them.

I want these. Trying to track them down.

FRYE

I like the grey.

Givenchy Shoes Spring 2010
Honestly... I have never ever been this obsessed with a pair of shoes in a while. Ok, the last time was probably last spring when I fell in love with the Givenchy criss cross wedges. I was a lucky lucky girl and happened to get them at a fabulous price once they went on sale. But these wedges this season are absolutely SICK. I particularly love the first pair, but the others I wouldn't mind having either. Problem is... they are all over a grand. Let's pray these babies make it to sale because they are calling my name. XO, Liza

DROOL DROOL DROOL. I WANT NOW! UGH!!!!

Beautiful. These would probably get dirty super quick, but they are amazing.

These may be massive wedges, but who cares. They are incredible.

Love the combination of the studs and the little ankle strap.
