Accessorize Me

Accessories are my favourite thing to shop for. They're cheap and fun! They can give any outfit a little attitude, or sweeten it up.
I love scarves! I realized yesterday that I have rather large scarf collection. I just added the burnt orange one to my collection from Forever 21. I love the chunky knit and varying cable styles they used.
I also bought this lovely little pom-pom hat from Forever 21 which I look forward to wearing this weekend at our annual Christmas parade.
A peacock feather necklace I bought yesterday as well from Forever 21.
A cheap & fun ring I found at H&M. I have small hands, so although it's oversized, it still fits just below my knuckle.
Some of my other pieces that I always wear are these silver and black beaded bangles (H&M), and this metal cuff. They match everything! (which is why I love them)
I just thought I'd show you one of the ways I like to display my jewelry. Rather than hiding it in boxes, I use this glass dish (candy dish) to hold my most frequently worn items. You get to enjoy them more when you can see them everyday rather just the odd time you wear it.

Fashion Finds

I don't know how a Christmas shopping trip turned into all this... but it did.

This is what I got from the past couple of weeks while trying to start my Christmas shopping. I have had a list of things that I need for myself and just happened to find everything on that list within the past couple weeks. I can't pass up a good deal... maybe that's part of the problem.

I have wanted a circular scarf since last winter, but haven't been able to find one that I like. They were all either too big, an ugly colour, or too expensive. I found this one for only $7.50 at Ardene's! I plan to simply sew the ends together to make my own circular scarf. Stay tuned for that project coming soon!

I realized that I only own one pair of closed toe high heels, so I'm always stuck wearing the same pair during the winter. I found these beauties at Aldo on sale at 80% off and couldn't give them up! They ended up only costing $40. They are a mix of suede and leather so I know they will last a long time. Now I just need somewhere to wear them.
I have needed a black racer back tank since the beginning of the summer and finally found one on sale for $5 at Joe Fresh. I know the summer is over but it'll be great for the gym, or to use as a layering piece during the winter.
I have wanted a pair of cognac coloured boots for a while, and never found a pair that I really liked. I usually wear flat boots so I thought I'd push myself to be a little more fashionable by getting this pair from Guess. They were also on sale (I am a bargain hunter as you may have noticed) so they were under $100 which is very hard to find for a pair of boots. They have a wooden heel which I also really like and I can wear them casually or dressed up.
For some reason I am really into bows. Maybe it's that festive spirit coming out of me but I found these both for really low prices and couldn't refuse them. Above: This mesh bow is from Ardene's and cost $5. Below: This bow charm & necklace were only $3 from Forever 21!
On another note; I did also get a lot of gifts for other people as well so it was doubly rewarding. I go by the one for me, one for you motto. Although I really should get out of that habit!

Gravity...

With all the G-20 maddness in Toronto and a hectic week,
one thing that calms me down is getting
infront of a camera. Wearing an earthy tone H&M mini dress.
However, it can also be transformed into a
casual look with some flats / sandals.
You can add a denim jacket instead of the blazer.
Since the dress is plain and simple, i added studded pumps.
some thing with a little metal to hypen the Look.
Not forgetting the oversized necklace.
