Jonas Brothers Get Two Second Seasons
Those Jonas Brothers aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Not only has Disney Channel ordered a second season of "JONAS", which will begin filming in February and premiere mid-2010, but their mini reality series, "Living The Dream", has also been given a sophomore season. The miniseries is due for a premiere early next year.
Question... Won't it be weird for Kevin to be married and still starring on a kids show? It wouldn't be if he was playing the role of a teacher or parent, but he's portraying a high schooler. Weird!

Ashley on Get in the Picture
Ashley Tisdale had a small cameo appearance in the finale episode of "High School Musical: Get in the Picture". She just wished luck to all the finalists.
Does anyone still watch this show? The ratings are pathetic and spiraled down to almost less than a million viewers.

Well This Certainly Isn't Good
This is the song that the winner of "Get in the Picture" will be singing on the High School Musical 3: Senior Year soundtrack will be singing? Ew!
What do you think?

Zac's Appearance on Get in the Picture
Remember that reality show?
Yeah. It's still going and ratings suck. But it's almost over!
But this past Monday, Zac Efron came and gave advice to the contestants some advice. And he was looking hot!

So How's the Reality Show?
As we mentioned nearly a month ago, we have given up on watching the "Get in the Picture" reality show, but we did promise to bring you some selected news. So here's two little tidbits:
- Zac Efron will appear on the show for a second time this Monday, August 25 at 8pm on ABC.
- Ratings are still doing pretty bad. Ever since the writers' strike, television ratings in general have gone down. And now with most of American TV - and the world, we're sure - focused on the Olympics, the summer shows aren't getting a lot of viewers.

We're Sorry, But We Give Up
Given the fact that the "Get in the Picture" reality show is totally boring, and that with our poll results so far, a good chunk of our readers don't even care for the series, we are going to stop reporting on it.
We'll continue to report ratings and news like if ABC decides to take off the series because of those bad ratings, and we'll obviously announce the winner once the show does. But we won't be watching or reporting on any of the episodes.
Sorry if that leaves any of you hanging, but if you're interested, all we can say is go and watch it every Sunday and Monday night at 8pm on ABC!

Things Aren't Looking Good for Get in the Picture
ABC's High School Musical reality show is doing pretty bad. "Get in the Picture"'s second episode that aired on Monday caused ABC to have their lowest-rated Monday night in three years. It makes sense, what would the adults who watch ABC want with that reality show?
Well obviously, with there ratings, there ain't gonna be a contest for who will appear in the closing credits of High School Musical 4!
The bad thing is, even though the ratings are bad and will probably continue to drop, ABC can't take it off the air until the winner is announced. The last episode is scheduled for mid-September!
Good luck, ABC!

Tonight on Get in the Picture
Tonight on "High School Musical: Get in the Picture", we saw the gaggle of talented young adults cut cut down to six individuals after couples performances. These six, all coming from the East, comprise half of the final top 12. The other half will come from the West.
Meanwhile, the ratings for last night's episode were bad. The premiere drew in about 4 million viewers, which is considered a failure. Ratings will more than likely drop as the competition continues.

Get in the Picture Sucked!
Last night was the premiere of ABC's new High School Musical-based reality show "Get in the Picture". And, well, it wasn't great.
The show failed to be entertaining, in several ways, which we'll explain. First, let's just set up what's happened so far. The did the Eastern auditions last night - that means, only those from the eastern United States were auditioned. There were open casting calls, where thousands would line up and audition for one of the three judges. And there were also on-the-spot auditions where a family member or teacher would tip off the show by sending them tapes of a talented youngster (16 to early 20s in terms of age). In both cases, if the judges liked what they saw, they would move the person on to the semi-finals.
Well, this is extremely unfair. From what the show told us, the people who audition need to be good actors, dancers, singers, and have an all-around good personality. In the auditions, all they did was sing. And they only sang in front of one judge, whereas if you had three judges you'd have a higher chance of getting passed through.
No one who auditioned really stood out to us. The judges turned away some acceptable ones, in our opinion, but allowed others through who didn't deserve to advance in the competition. And none of people who auditioned had meltdowns. They were all calm and understanding. There was a tear hear and there, but none of them went ballistic, which is a little disappointing.
The judges were too kind, also. If someone, well, sucked, they didn't comment on that. The problem with being nice in that kind of judging is that it doesn't really help people improve because all they are told is "I'm not going to move you further, you just need more time" or something to that affect.
Now, as for our host, the washed-up Nick Lachey, well... he's no Ryan Seacrest. It was awkward as he congratulated or consoled the auditioners. He didn't have the same kind of people skills that other TV hosts do. Even his brother, Drew, is a better host than him!
Maybe it just got off to a bad start, but so far, this show sucks!
Nevertheless, as we run a High School Musical blog, we feel compelled to continue watching this show and reporting back. A new episode airs tonight at 8pm|7 central!

Scratch That
ABC has just announced that "High School Musical: Summer Session" has been renamed "High School Musical: Get in the Picture". Why? Well, by picture, they mean film - as in High School Musical 3: Senior Year! The winner will get to appear in a music video that plays during the end credits of the film.
We hope this is a good show!
