Quote Of The Day

LOS ANGELES - NOV 7: Jason Mraz arrives at the 2010 Freedom Awards at Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center on November 7, 2010 in Redondo Beach, CA Photo via Newscom

"I heard the song, and it was just a tremendous, tremendous horror of a tune. I noticed a few similarities in the melody, but it wasn't enough to pick up the phone and argue with somebody about it. If anything, I just wanted my $1.29 back that I spent on iTunes."

- Jason Mraz on the similarities between his song "I'm Yours" and the Camp Rock 2 song "Introducing Me"

Quote Of The Day

LOS ANGELES, CA - OCTOBER 01: Actress Meaghan Martin arrives at The 8th Annual Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party at Paramount Studios on October 1, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Charley Gallay/Getty Images For Teen Vogue)

"I wanted to play her as a smart mean girl, not a ditzy annoying mean girl. I wanted her to be smart and manipulative because that’s far more scary. I didn’t really study the first movie for this role just because my character is very different from [Lindsay Lohan's]. Jo is like a tough tomboy kind of badass girl and that’s not really Lindsay’s character…it’s ironic that I was probably using more of Mean Girls for Camp Rock than Mean Girls 2!"

Jonas Brothers Hint at Camp Rock 3

Oh Jesus. Does this need to happen?

While generously donating $25,000 worth of OfficeMax school supplies, the Jonas Brothers shared some rather annoying news. There might be a Camp Rock 3. In response to a question asked about the possibility of a third film, Joe simple said "We'll see."

Ugh! The Final Jam?! Yeah right!

Camp Rock 2 Debuts to Mediocre Numbers

18 August 2010 - New York, NY - Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas. The world premiere of 'Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam' at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on August 18, 2010 in New York City. Photo Credit: Paul Zimmerman/AdMedia

Though it is the highest television movie broadcast of 2010 so far, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam failed to outperform the original, scoring only about 8 million viewers. The film now ranks as the seventh most-watched premiere for a Disney Channel Original Movie. High School Musical 2 still holds on to its number-one position, having reached 17.2 million viewers three years ago.

The numbers for Camp Rock 2 are very odd because it goes against the trend of Disney Channel sequels outperforming the original film. The first Camp Rock raked in 8.9 million viewers in June 2008, making it the second most-watched premiere at the time. (Wizards of Waverly Place: the Movie later beat out the film, with 11.4 million viewers just last summer).

Perhaps the reason for these relatively disappointing numbers is that Disney Channel chose to air the summer-themed movie while most kids were in school. Also, it's Labor Day Weekend, and many people are on vacation.

Better luck next time, Camp Rockers! (If there even is a next film.)

"I actually didn’t quite know what I was getting myself into. I had no idea what a phenomenon Camp Rock had become and it blew me away how supportive and passionate the fans are. They would wait outside where we were shooting just to see us drive into work and that blew my mind. I’ve never worked on a movie that has so much hype around it."

Camp Rock 2 Bloopers

Although Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam doesn't premiere until September 3, some bloopers from the DVD (which comes out September 7) have appeared online. We didn't bother watching them, so we can't say if they're funny or not, but hopefully your Camp Rockers will love them!

P.S. If you can't wait another week-and-a-half for the movie, it's already been leaked online. Just look around -- it shouldn't be hard to find!

Aug. 13, 2010 - New York, New York, U.S. - JONAS BROTHERS AND DEMI LOVATO PROMOTE CAMP ROCK 2 ON ABC'S ''GOOD MORNING AMERICA'' CONCERT SERIES AT RUMSEY PLAYFIELD IN CENTRAL PARK , NEW YORK New York 08-13-2010. K65660BCO.JOE JONAS OF THE JONAS BROTHERS AND DEMI LOVATO. © Red Carpet Pictures

While promoting her upcoming Disney Channel Movie Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, Demi Lovato claimed that she and ex Joe Jonas are still on good terms.
Well… we started off as best friends and then we took it to the next level and it didn’t work out. It wasn’t meant to be but we’re back to being best friends.
Considering they're touring together, we hope that this is true, for their sake and the sake of everyone else working on that concert. Can you imagine working with two people who despised one another?!

BIG Camp Rock news, guys!

Disney has just announced that the cast of Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, including Demi Lovato and the JoBros, will be touring worldwide beginning July 27!! That is also the same day the soundtrack comes out.

The bad news is that while Disney said the movie would be coming out in the summer, it won't air until Friday, September 3, when most of you will be back at school. Lame!!

New Camp Rock Music Video

Here is the first official music video from Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, which premiered on Disney Channel today (April 25).

We have to say... it's pretty bad. Not only is the song, "Can't Back Down", ridiculous, but the busting-randomly-into-dance just doesn't work as well here as it does in High School Musical.

All in all, we're excited for the movie because of its cross-camp love story. But this music video doesn't make the soundtrack seem too promising.

Second Look: Camp Rock 2!

To ring in the New Year, Disney Channel began promoting its slate of upcoming series and films, one of which is Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. Now, we aren't the biggest Camp Rock fans, so we weren't particularly excited about the sequel in the first place. And after seeing this promotion, we're even less excited. The music sounds awful. But here's us sincerely hoping you Camp Rockers will be satisfied!

First Look: Camp Rock 2!

For many of you, this is the most anticipated sequel of 2010.

Above is the first image from Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, which is due out next summer!

Joe Jonas shares "There's a lot more romance with my character and even with Nick's character. The romance, the singing and dancing – everything is bigger and better." Joe elaborates on his character's romance with Mitchie (played by Demi Lovato). "They want to spend more time together but [finding time is a bit] difficult for them to do, because she is trying to help out the camp as much as she can."

"They are so easy to work with and we just hangout and have fun," Demi shares about working with the Jonas Brothers again. "They are like my brothers and they are my best friends. They always make me laugh."

The film will focus on the Camp Rockers while a new state-of-the-art camp, Camp Star, moves in across the lake. Kevin and Nick, who had small roles in the first film, will have story lines of their own in the sequel (That's good!). "Bonus Jonas" Frankie will also appear in the film (That's just annoying).

Nick's character falls for the daughter of Camp Star's owner, played by that bitch Chloe Bridges. "
It's good when you feel comfortable with the person and we're friends." Meanwhile, Kevin's character has no lover interest and is just a camp counselor. (Hmmm...)

Well, what do you think? Are you pumped?!

Sources Come Forth to Give Details About Demi and Selena's Feud

Keep in mind as you read this, it could be total BS. But we're dedicated to posting it for you, so enjoy. Some "friends" of both Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez have come forth with information about the stars' feud.

Remember Chloe Bridges, who recently filmed Camp Rock 2 with Demi? Well it turns out that she played a key role in all of this, or at least according to what these conveniently anonymous sources are saying.

Apparently, Selena and Demi began drifting while Demi was in Canada filming the sequel to the hit Disney Channel film. Selena also wasn't too thrilled about Demi becoming close friends with Chloe, who she secretly doesn't like. Well, during a phone conversation during this time period, Selena called Demi out for trying to be "in the scene" and "forgetting who her true friends were" (Go Selena!... Sorry, we're a little biased). Selena then went on to warn Demi about being friends with Chloe for reasons unknown. Well, Demi allegedly got piiiiiissed.

The sources go on to say that the two girls worked past this and are friends, but just not the best of friends. Demi is now closer to Chloe than she is with Selena. So sad. Guess that's what happens with friendships in Hollywood.

Now, like we said, this could be totally made up. But it does seem to fit the loose facts from the feud we've collected previously. There was the whole Twitter disaster when Demi and Selena
and their friends all allegedly made accusations of one or the other not being a true friend. And now hearing that they're friends again (albeit not great friends), explains recent events like this and this.

Too bad there was no mention of how Miley Cyrus fit into this...

Camp Rock 2 Begins Filming

That went by pretty fast.

It seems like only yesterday Demi Lovato was saying that she was just beginning to record songs for Camp Rock: The Final Jam. Well, now she and the entire cast are in Toronto filming for the sequel to the hit Disney musical.

Maria Canals (of "Wizards of Waverly Place", who also plays mother Connie Torres in the films) announced via Twitter that she will be reprising her role for the film and will have to miss out on a few "Wizards" episodes. (If you ask us, she's better off sticking with "Wizards").

Well, hopefully the second film, which will focus on a Romeo and Juliet-esque romance between a Camp Rocker and a student from the rival camp, will be good! It's likely to debut in June 2010.

Camp Rock 2 Updates

Meaghan Jette Martin told Twist in the video below that she will begin filming Camp Rock: The Final Jam in Canada soon. The film, which will focus on Camp Rock's rival camp, Camp star (drama!), is expected to premiere on Disney Channel next summer.

Say, does anybody else see a similarity in plots between Camp Rock 2 and High School Musical 4, which will focus on a rivarly between East and West High?... Just saying! The HSM4 plot was revealed before Camp Rock 2, by the way.
