Official Mean Girls 2 Trailer!

Wow, this looks like all kinds of bad.

Check out the official trailer for Mean Girls 2, starring Meaghan Martin, Jennifer Stone, Maiara Walsh, and Nichole Anderson.

It's no wonder it's straight-to-DVD.

Quote Of The Day

LOS ANGELES, CA - OCTOBER 01: Actress Meaghan Martin arrives at The 8th Annual Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party at Paramount Studios on October 1, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Charley Gallay/Getty Images For Teen Vogue)

"I wanted to play her as a smart mean girl, not a ditzy annoying mean girl. I wanted her to be smart and manipulative because that’s far more scary. I didn’t really study the first movie for this role just because my character is very different from [Lindsay Lohan's]. Jo is like a tough tomboy kind of badass girl and that’s not really Lindsay’s character…it’s ironic that I was probably using more of Mean Girls for Camp Rock than Mean Girls 2!"

Camp Rock 2 Debuts to Mediocre Numbers

18 August 2010 - New York, NY - Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas. The world premiere of 'Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam' at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on August 18, 2010 in New York City. Photo Credit: Paul Zimmerman/AdMedia

Though it is the highest television movie broadcast of 2010 so far, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam failed to outperform the original, scoring only about 8 million viewers. The film now ranks as the seventh most-watched premiere for a Disney Channel Original Movie. High School Musical 2 still holds on to its number-one position, having reached 17.2 million viewers three years ago.

The numbers for Camp Rock 2 are very odd because it goes against the trend of Disney Channel sequels outperforming the original film. The first Camp Rock raked in 8.9 million viewers in June 2008, making it the second most-watched premiere at the time. (Wizards of Waverly Place: the Movie later beat out the film, with 11.4 million viewers just last summer).

Perhaps the reason for these relatively disappointing numbers is that Disney Channel chose to air the summer-themed movie while most kids were in school. Also, it's Labor Day Weekend, and many people are on vacation.

Better luck next time, Camp Rockers! (If there even is a next film.)

Mean Girls 2 Gets a Little More Disney

2 May 2010 - Burbank, California - Jennifer Stone. Lollipop Theater Network's 2nd Annual Game Day held at Nickelodeon Animation Studios. Photo Credit: Byron Purvis/AdMedia
Jennifer Stone of "Wizards of Waverly Place" has officially joined the cast of Mean Girls 2! The film, which is currently filming in Atlanta, follows Jo, a girl who makes friends with social outcast Abby because Abby's father promises to pay for the college of her choice. No cast members from the original film (i.e. Lindsay Lohan, Tina Fey, Amanda Seyfried, or Rachel McAdams) will appear in the film.

Jennifer joins a slew of Disney girls who have already been cast. Camp Rock's Meaghan Martin is playing Jo while Maiara Walsh of "Cory in the House" is playing the head of the new Plastics. Nicole Anderson from "JONAS" is playing Hope, the Gretchen of the new Plastics. It is unclear who Jennifer will be playing, but she recently tweeted "First day of shooting and it’s the first time I’ve ever had my name on a chair. One of those moments you remember. I am a lucky gal."

Obviously, this moving isn't going to be anywhere near as great as the original, and these girls aren't the best actresses, but it could be a fun direct-to-DVD guilty pleasure to watch. Guess we'll have to wait to find out!

Meaghan Martin is a Mean Girl

Meaghan Jette Martin has opted not to participate in the Camp Rock concert tour because she will be busy in Atlanta filming Mean Girls 2! The sequel to the film that launched Lindsay Lohan's adult career begins filming next month.

Disney Announces Camp Rock Concert and Pushes Back Release Date

BIG Camp Rock news, guys!

Disney has just announced that the cast of Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, including Demi Lovato and the JoBros, will be touring worldwide beginning July 27!! That is also the same day the soundtrack comes out.

The bad news is that while Disney said the movie would be coming out in the summer, it won't air until Friday, September 3, when most of you will be back at school. Lame!!

New Camp Rock Music Video

Here is the first official music video from Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, which premiered on Disney Channel today (April 25).

We have to say... it's pretty bad. Not only is the song, "Can't Back Down", ridiculous, but the busting-randomly-into-dance just doesn't work as well here as it does in High School Musical.

All in all, we're excited for the movie because of its cross-camp love story. But this music video doesn't make the soundtrack seem too promising.

Meaghan Martin Gives Autism a Voice

Meaghan Martin is speaking up about a common disorder, Autism. It's an issue close to her heart, as her younger brother, Zachary, has Asperger's Syndrome, which is a high-functioning form of Autism.

Meaghan is encouraging people to educate themselves and others about the disorder. It's really nice to see celebrities standing up for causes, especially when they have such a young fan base and can impact kids today.

Meaghan Martin Goes Brunette

Fashion Week: Lauren Elaine Fall 2010 Black Label

Meaghan Jette Martin debuted her new brunette locks yesterday (March 22) at L.A. Rocks Fashion week. We have to say, it does not suit her one bit. She's certainly no Ashley Tisdale, who looks good as both a brunette or a blonde. No, for Meaghan, blonde is probably the only way to go.

What do you think of her new 'do?

Second Look: Camp Rock 2!

To ring in the New Year, Disney Channel began promoting its slate of upcoming series and films, one of which is Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. Now, we aren't the biggest Camp Rock fans, so we weren't particularly excited about the sequel in the first place. And after seeing this promotion, we're even less excited. The music sounds awful. But here's us sincerely hoping you Camp Rockers will be satisfied!

Demi Lovato's New Music Video... Bore

We know it's hard to find original concepts for music videos these days, but honestly? How many times will Demi Lovato be performing in a music video? She does it here, in "Get Back", in "Here We Go Again", and "Don't Forget".

Whatever. Hopefully some of you will enjoy it the music video for "Remember December", featuring appearances by Meaghan Jette Martin and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle.

Demi Lovato and Friends Film Music Video

Many have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of Demi Lovato's second single from Here We Go Again. Well, according to Demi herself, it's going to be "Remember December". She's already filmed the music video, which features Meaghan Jette Martin, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, and Chloe Bridges (all of Camp Rock 2 and pictured above).

Hmm... "Remember December"? Honestly, we like the song. But "Catch Me" and "U Got Nothin' On Me" would have been so much better for a single! Oh well, we'll trust what Jonas-loving Selena-hating Demi chooses to do.

Camp Rock 2 Begins Filming

That went by pretty fast.

It seems like only yesterday Demi Lovato was saying that she was just beginning to record songs for Camp Rock: The Final Jam. Well, now she and the entire cast are in Toronto filming for the sequel to the hit Disney musical.

Maria Canals (of "Wizards of Waverly Place", who also plays mother Connie Torres in the films) announced via Twitter that she will be reprising her role for the film and will have to miss out on a few "Wizards" episodes. (If you ask us, she's better off sticking with "Wizards").

Well, hopefully the second film, which will focus on a Romeo and Juliet-esque romance between a Camp Rocker and a student from the rival camp, will be good! It's likely to debut in June 2010.
