Quote of the Day

"I thought I looked fabulous before and nobody else did. Actually, now I wear bigger clothes because I don't like the way people stare at me. I liked it before. Now, you're just looking at me for the wrong reasons. Before, you were actually looking at me for a real reason."

Quote Of The Day

"I feel that [people] are really kind in saying that, but I have so much further to go to be in the shadow of her, let alone, right next to her. I appreciate that and it actually sets higher expectations on me than I put on myself. I used to tell one of my friends, 'I’m not the next Oprah, I’m the next Raven Symone' and I feel that way, but at the same time it’s such a great template to go after. She’s accomplished so much that hopefully I’ll be able to do one the creative side in the things I like to do."

Looking Good, Rae!

Tinker Bell has been honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but that's not the news we're reporting on!

Raven showed up to give her support to the cartoon fairy at yesterday's (September 21) ceremony and she was looking fabulous! She seems to have lost some weight and we're totally digging her longer, lighter hairdo!

Raven's Back!

Oh Raven, how we've missed you!

Check out this sneak peak of an upcoming episode of "Sonny With a Chance" in which Raven guest stars as Amber, the president of Chad Dylan Cooper's fan club!

This show is so unfunny but Raven is sure to bring some light and energy to it!

The episode airs this Sunday (August 29) on Disney Channel.

Raven Returns to TV in Revenge of the Bridesmaids

We love Raven so naturally we were excited when we saw this! The former Disney darling is starring alongside Joanna Garcia ("Privileged") in Revenge of the Bridesmaids. It looks pretty good for what it is - an ABC Family original movie. But we'll reserve full judgment until we actually see it.

Where Did Raven Go?...

Oh, here she is!

Now that Raven is moving on from her Disney days, it's hard to keep up with her! And not because she's doing so many things, but primarily because she rarely comes in the public's sight.

Well things are changing. Raven posted a video update from the set of her ABC Family movie Revenge of the Bridesmaids. The film will premiere on the network on July 18 (yikes, that's soon!!).

Other things to look out for: On December 22, Little Fockers (the sequel to and Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers) will hit theaters. Raven stars as Tamyra, the family babysitter. Also, Raven is set to guest star as Amber in an episode of "Sonny With a Chance" soon.

Selena's Audition Tape!

It's common knowledge that Selena Gomez was auditioning for Disney Channel for quite some time before she landed the lead role in "Wizards of Waverly Place". The audition tape below shows an eleven-year-old Selena reading lines from an episode of "That's So Raven". (She's reading Raven's lines, so she obviously wasn't auditioning for a role in the episode. We don't know what she was auditioning for though).

Raven Drops Pounds and Is Dropped from Ben Stiller Film!

Tinker Bell named Honorary Ambassador of Green by the United Nations

Raven looked great at the premiere of Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure! It's nice to see her finding a healthy weight.

However, rumor has it that she will no longer be appearing in Little Fockers as originally rumored. The film, which is a sequel to Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers, has already begun shooting and Raven has had no involvement in the project, nor has the studio officially announced her as part of the cast. Yikes! And we had such high hopes for her, this could have really helped her career!

Raven Chats "Good" Hair

7th Annual Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party

For those of you who haven't seen the trailer for the upcoming documentary Good Hair, click here. The film focuses on African Americans and their hair, as the race in general tends to not have "good hair" by today's standards. Wigs and weaves will be observed in the Chris Rock documentary, which also features celebrity interviews - including one from Raven-Symone!

Raven told Tyra Banks on her show: "I always do crazy things to my hair. When I first got offered That So Raven I said, ‘Oh my goodness, I’m free. I don’t have to wear any weaves for a while.’ So I cut all my hair off. I died it orange, purple, every color!"

Purple? Orange? Mmkay, however you choose to express yourself is your business!

Raven's interview on "Tyra" airs tomorrow at 4pm on the CW.

Selena's Always Right

Selena Gomez is pretty much always right. She's saying what we've personally believed for a long time. Raven changed the face of Disney Channel when "That's So Raven" premiered in 2003. It brought a new type of production and comedy to the network, along with the "average teen with the not-so-average life" spin, all of which has given us shows like "Hannah Montana", "The Suite Life", and, of course, "Wizards of Waverly Place". Check out what Selena has to say about Raven in an interview with Radio Disney.

Stories We've Missed...

Here are a few stories we've missed recently when we were focusing solely on High School Musical.
  • Emily Osment's debut album will be released on March 9, 2010.
  • "Wizards On Deck with Hannah Montana" was watched by 9.3 million people on its Disney Channel premiere on Friday (July 17), becoming the most-watched program on television that night. Catch a rerun tonight (July 19) at 5pm, following a marathon of "Sonny With A Chance".
  • Raven is not pregnant, nor did she already give birth! Silly rumors!
  • As you've all probably heard, Kevin Jonas and girlfriend Danielle Deleasa are engaged!

In Other Disney Channel News...

  • Demo Lovato is recording songs for Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam with Kara DioGuardi (best known as the fourth judge on "American Idol"), who wrote songs for the first Camp Rock, as well as for other Disney properties like Hilary Duff, Raven, Jesse McCartney, Ashley Tisdale, the Cheetah Girls, Vanessa Hudgens, Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus, and Demi Lovato for her solo career.

Wizards Of Waverly Place Soundtrack Preview

Here is a preview of the songs that will be featured on the Wizards Of Waverly Place soundtrack, out August 4. None of them are really that good (they're pretty much all covers), but Selena Gomez's "Magic" cover (originally by Pilot, track #3) is the best of the new material. Of course, Aly & AJ are always nice to hear, and the re-used "That's So Raven" song is okay. The last track is the theme song, which was featured on the Disney Channel Playlist CD released last month. It's a TOTAL rip-off because we thought "Everything Is Not What Is Seems" was a full-length song but it's only around 50 seconds. Below is the video featuring previews of all the songs, followed by a complete track listing.

1. Disappear - Selena Gomez
2. Magical - Selena Gomez
3. Magic (Pilot) - Selena Gomez
4. Strange Magic - Steve Rushton
5. Magic (The Cars) - Honor Society
6. Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic - Mitchel Musso
7. Magic Carpet Ride - KSM
8. Magic (Xanadu) - Meaghan Martin
9. You Can Do Magic - Drew Seeley
10. Some Call It Magic - Raven-Symoné
11. Do You Believe in Magic - Aly & AJ
12. Everything Is Not As It Seems - Selena Gomez

Ashley Tisdale on the New Disney Starlets

Premiere of Walt Disney Pictures Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert - Afterparty

Hilary Duff
and "Lizzie McGuire" are long over. Raven is through with Disney. And Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale are exploring careers without the mouse ear logo. So now Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and Demi Lovato are the truest Disney starlets. Popstar asked Ashley if she feels overprotective of the new breed of the company's celebrities.

"I never really dive into what anyone else is doing because I don't really know the new [girls]. I knew Selena a little bit because she was on our show but I don't really know her that well. But Miley is like my little sister so for her I feel like I have to say, it's really hard what she's doing. She's 16 years old and she's put in this situation where everyone is watching every move and that's hard.

I think she's handling it really beautifully. I think that people just say so many things and its like, 'Come on, she's a little girl!' And she calls me her big sis because she knows I'm always there for her no matter what because that family is the most supportive family that I've ever met in this business. And I just feel that she's grounded—she's completely grounded. And of course I'll give her advice and stuff but I cant even imagine at her age—Im glad success came later for me in life. Being that young and handling all that is really hard and I think she handles it really well."

Adrienne Bailon Dishes on a Fourth Cheetah Girls Movie, Selena Gomez, and Her Upcoming Reality Show

Premiere Of Sony Pictures'

Although they tried to convince us otherwise, the Cheetah Girls never decided to split up until Adrienne Bailon's semi-nude photos leaked.

Kiely Williams said that the girls "always knew that this tour would probably be our last. We were excited about going out on a high note, it’s sad that this negative attention [Adrienne's pictures] put a damper on that."

So basically, she's saying that the girls had planned all along to go their separate ways. Well, this isn't true!

The day before the photos were leaked, Adrienne said "We’re keeping our fingers crossed for a fourth Disney movie-maybe the Cheetah Girls go to Carnival!" So unless there was some confusion on Adrienne of Kiely's part, the nude photos were the cause of the girls splitting up. Too bad!

At least Adrienne has some things lined up. "Amazing projects with MTV that are pretty definite. Most likely, I will be moving to New York City to work on my own MTV show, which I am so excited about!" she gushes.

She also comments on fellow Disney star and Latina Selena Gomez. Well sort of... When the topic comes up, she says "I was the first Latina to ever be on the Disney Channel. It was also great to be the first Latina to host Hispanic Heritage Month on The Disney Channel."

For what it's worth, we like Selena better! She doesn't have nude photos!

Would YOU watch a Cheetah Girls 4? We think the series lost its magic after Raven left.

Take Away Raven and What Happens?

The Cheetah Girls One World debuted this past Friday to 6.2 million viewers. This is good for cable but it is the lowest premiere for a Disney Channel Original Movie since Johnny Kapahala Back on Board in June 2007.

And, not surprisingly, the Cheetah Girls' third film is the one that did the poorest in ratings. The first film earned 6.5 million and the second earned 8.1 million (notably topping High School Musical!).

Some fans blame the fact that the film took place in India for the lack of viewers. Others say that fewer people were interested since Raven was gone. Us? We agree with the latter.

Anyway, we know we promised you a review, and you'll get one soon! These past few days have been very hectic for us and we're trying to get everything straight. We'll be back to posting regularly in a matter of days!

Thanks for being patient?

And, by the way, what do YOU think was the reason for One World getting such low ratings?

Disney Stars Fail to Draw Intererst

TV fame just isn't enough these days!

Crowds at the Midland Country Fair in Michigan were treated to a two-for-one special. Raven performed on Monday with Vanessa Hudgens performing on Tuesday. Failed "American Idol" alumnus Bucky Covington was also showcased at the concert.

A 20-year-old in attendance said, "I didn't know who Bucky Covington was or that he had anything to do with 'American Idol,' but I was jamming with him. I really liked him a lot."

The fair management was disappointed by the low attendance to concert and the feeling was mutual, as the audience was disappointed by the show - especially Vanessa!

Vanessa reportedly displayed dance moves "more adult in nature than the audience of mainly girls 10 and younger." Wouldn't be the first time Vanessa used her body in way a 10-year-old shouldn't!

The crowd was generally won over by Raven, who entertained them not only by her music, but by her comedy and stories of her childhood. Another concert-goer says Vanessa was too into the music and they could see her getting sweaty.

We're glad that Raven was being nice! All the more reason for us not to believe those recent reports that she's not so kind in person.
